Cutters Drop 3-1 Decision to Batavia
September 5 - The Williamsport Crosscutters fell 3-1 at the hands of the Batavia Muckdogs Wednesday evening, snapping the Cutters five-game winning streak.

Williamsport tallied the game’s first run when Matt Rizzotti walked with the bases loaded to bring Tyler Mach home.  The Muckdogs plated three runs of Jacob Diekman in the top of the fifth, a deficit the Crosscutters could not overcome.  Williamsport’s best opportunity came in the home half of the sixth inning, but Derrick Mitchell grounded out with the bases loaded to end the threat.  Diekman took his first loss, while Nicholas Addition notched the win and Josh Dew the save.  Rizzotti ended with a pair of hits, including his nineteenth double of the season, while Dominic Brown extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

The Cutters host the Muckdogs again Thursday evening at 7:05 p.m.
