Game Recap
Cutters Blank Batavia 2-0 Joe Savery and Chris Kissock combined to pitch a three hitter for the Cutters sixth shutout of the season, and second in three days. Savery, the Philadelphia Phillies first round draft choice in the 2007 draft, pitched five innings, allowed two hits and struck out five, winning his second consecutive decision and evening his record at 2-2. Kissock finished the game, pitching the final four frames, allowing just one hit while striking out six to earn his first save. The Crosscutters offense was held to three hits, but it was enough. Michael Taylor doubled to lead off the fourth inning, and Matt Spencer followed with his team-leading eighth home run to give Williamsport the only runs of the game. The Crosscutters have now won eight of their last ten games, and travel to Niles, Ohio to take on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers on Monday (1:05pm) & Tuesday (7:05pm).
