Cutters Set Attendance Record For Williamsport!

With 67,220 fans through the turnstiles at Historic Bowman Field this summer, the Williamsport Crosscutters set a new short-season attendance record for a  Williamsport team. The old record of 65,089 was held by the 1996  Williamsport Cubs.   

In addition, the per game average attendance of 1,769 this year was the 2nd  highest per game average in Williamsport baseball history, dating back to the  late 1800's. The highest per game average of 1,808 was also set in the '96  Cubs season.

Williamsport Crosscutters Win Business Award! 

The Williamsport Crosscutters have been selected as a State Winner of the Blue Chip Enterprise AwardSM for the year 2000.  

The award, co-sponsored by The MassMutual Financial Group and the United  States Chamber of Commerce, recognizes small businesses that have overcome  challenges, seized opportunities, creatively utilized resources and achieved  success. Nationwide, 192 State Winners were selected for the award.  Announcement of the award recently appeared in Fortune Small Business  Magazine. The Crosscutters accepted the award in ceremonies before a recent  game. 

The organization was a State Runner-Up for the award in 1999.
